ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a special program designed to help stroke patients relearn movement, called a motor relearning program (MRP), affects their ability to walk, live independently, and enjoy life. Some participants will receive additional help from a treatment using electrical muscle stimulation (EMS), while others will not. The goal is to see which approach works better for improving the lives of people who have had a hemiplegic stroke, which affects one side of the body.
To join the study, participants need to be between 45 and 65 years old, have been diagnosed with a hemiplegic stroke, and be able to stand on their own for at least one minute and walk a short distance. Unfortunately, people with balance problems due to other neurological conditions, certain heart issues, or fixed foot deformities cannot participate. If eligible, participants can expect to engage in exercises and activities aimed at improving their mobility and overall quality of life. This study is currently recruiting, and both men and women are welcome to participate.
