ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial, called the CGM Academy for Youth with Type 1 Diabetes, is studying how a special online education program can help young people manage their blood sugar levels better than standard education. The trial involves two groups of participants: one group will use an interactive workbook and attend online sessions with diabetes experts, while the other group will receive the usual education about diabetes. Researchers want to find out if the new program leads to better blood sugar control and how it affects feelings about diabetes and family responsibilities.

To participate, you need to be between 8 and 18 years old and have had type 1 diabetes for at least six months. Participants must also have the Dexcom G6 or G7 continuous glucose monitoring system and be comfortable with virtual meetings. Throughout the study, everyone will fill out some questionnaires to help the researchers gather important information. If you or someone you know fits these criteria and is interested, this could be a great opportunity to learn more about managing type 1 diabetes effectively.
