ClinConnect Summary
The All-Ireland Infectious Diseases Cohort Project is a research study aimed at understanding infectious diseases by observing adults who are receiving care for these conditions. This study is currently recruiting participants and is open to adults aged 18 and older who are being treated for infectious disease issues at specific hospitals and clinics in Ireland. Participants will need to provide their consent to join the study, or if they are unable to do so (like if they are unconscious), a legal representative can help.
If you decide to participate, you will be part of a long-term study that collects information over time to help improve the understanding of infectious diseases and their treatment. The study is inclusive of all genders and aims to gather data from a diverse group of adults. It's important to note that individuals under 18, or those with certain mental health challenges, are not eligible to participate. This trial will hopefully lead to better care and outcomes for patients dealing with infectious diseases.
