ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how well two different pain relief techniques work for boys undergoing surgery for a condition called hypospadias, which affects the urinary opening. The main goal is to see how long it takes for children to need pain medicine after their surgery using these two methods. Researchers will also compare how much pain the children feel, any complications that may arise, and how satisfied parents are with the care their child receives.

To participate in this study, children must be boys aged 1 to 7 years old who are scheduled for their first hypospadias surgery and have a good overall health status. However, children will not be eligible if they have certain health issues, are taking specific medications, or have any allergies to the medications being tested. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but when it does, families can expect their children to be closely monitored for pain and recovery after the surgery.
