ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a skin condition called non-segmental vitiligo, which causes loss of skin color in patches. Researchers want to understand two main things: if a specific protein called Hypoxia Inducible Factor is present in patients with vitiligo and if there are defects in certain genes related to a process called autophagy, which helps cells clean out damaged parts. The study will also look at how these two factors might be connected in causing vitiligo among patients in the Sohag Governorate of Egypt.
To participate, you need to be an adult over 18 years old with non-segmental vitiligo. There will also be a control group of participants without vitiligo for comparison. However, people who are pregnant, have other ongoing skin conditions, or have taken certain treatments recently will not be eligible. If you join the trial, you'll help researchers gain valuable insights that could lead to better understanding and treatment options for vitiligo.
