ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at two different designs of nasal stents used alongside a special molding appliance called a nasoalveolar molding appliance. The purpose of the study is to see how these different stent designs can improve the appearance of the nose and lip in infants who have cleft lip or cleft lip and palate. This trial is important because it aims to find out which design might work better for helping to enhance the esthetics (or appearance) of these infants.

The study is open to infants under 30 days old who have a complete unilateral cleft lip and palate. Unfortunately, babies who have certain syndromes or are older than 30 days will not be eligible to join. If you decide to participate, you can expect to have your baby's nose and lip appearance assessed with the use of these nasal stents. The trial is currently not recruiting participants yet, but it will be an opportunity to contribute to research that could help improve outcomes for future babies with similar conditions.
