ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how certain immune cells in the blood, called peripheral blood lymphocytes, behave in patients with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA). JIA is a type of arthritis that affects children and can cause joint pain and swelling. The trial aims to understand how different subtypes of JIA and the treatments patients receive can influence these immune cells. Researchers hope this information will help improve the understanding of JIA and lead to better treatment options.
To participate in this study, individuals must be over 16 years old and have been diagnosed with JIA according to specific medical guidelines. They should also be receiving therapy with disease-modifying drugs and currently have inactive disease. However, those with active JIA or other autoimmune diseases, or specific blood conditions, will not be eligible. Participants can expect to undergo evaluations of their immune cells and may help contribute valuable insights into how JIA affects the body and how treatments can be tailored for better outcomes.
