ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how using a virtual reality (VR) mask during colonoscopies can help patients feel less pain and anxiety, allowing them to have the procedure without needing general anesthesia (GA). Currently, most colonoscopies are done with GA, which involves more risks and requires extra planning. By testing the VR mask, researchers hope to make the experience more comfortable for patients, potentially leading to more successful colonoscopies without GA and reducing the need for rescheduling.

To be eligible for this trial, participants must be over 18 years old and need a colonoscopy without GA. However, those with certain conditions, like hearing or vision problems, psychiatric issues, or a history of seizures or claustrophobia, cannot participate. If you join the study, you can expect to wear a VR mask during your procedure, which may help you feel more relaxed. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into improving patient comfort during colonoscopies.
