ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how effective a special drink containing electrolytes and glucose is for rehydrating people after they exercise and become dehydrated. Researchers believe that this type of drink is better than plain water for helping the body absorb fluids and feel less thirsty, which means it could help people drink more and retain more fluid.
To participate in the trial, you need to be between 18 and 60 years old and exercise at least twice a week while maintaining a stable weight for the past two months. Unfortunately, some individuals may not be eligible, including those with certain health conditions like heart or kidney disease, or those who have had weight-loss surgery. If you join the study, you can expect to drink the electrolyte-glucose solution after exercising and help researchers learn more about how well it works for rehydration.
