ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how the presence of calcium in blocked coronary arteries (called chronic total occlusions, or CTOs) affects the success of a heart procedure known as Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI). The researchers want to find out if using a special type of imaging called Computed Tomography Coronary Angiography (CTCA) can help identify calcium in these arteries more effectively than traditional methods. By looking back at patients who have previously undergone a CTO PCI, they hope to understand how different levels of calcium impact the outcomes of the procedure.
To participate in this trial, you must be at least 18 years old and have had a previous attempt at a CTO PCI within the last five years. Additionally, you should have had a CTCA done either before or after your CTO PCI, and the images must be clear enough for analysis. If you join the study, you can expect to contribute to important research that may help improve treatment for blocked arteries in the future. Overall, this trial aims to enhance our understanding of how calcium affects heart procedures and ultimately improve care for patients with similar conditions.
