ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether a combination of two medications, dexmedetomidine and esketamine, can improve sleep quality for women undergoing a specific type of surgery called modified radical mastectomy. Researchers want to find out if using both medications together leads to better sleep after surgery compared to using only one of them. The trial will involve 105 women who are scheduled for this surgery, and they will be divided into groups to receive different combinations of these medications during their treatment.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be women aged between 18 and 80 who are in good health (specifically classified as ASA physical status I or II) and are scheduled for elective surgery. However, women with certain health issues, such as severe respiratory problems, kidney or liver diseases, or specific heart conditions, will not be included. Participants can expect to be monitored for their sleep quality, pain levels, and any side effects after surgery. This study aims to help improve recovery experiences for women after mastectomy by understanding how these medications affect sleep.
