ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how to better care for older migrants living in Italy who are experiencing dementia or cognitive impairment, which means they have trouble thinking or remembering things. As more migrants with these conditions seek healthcare in Italy, this study aims to develop ways to be more sensitive to their diverse backgrounds and cultural needs when providing care and support.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be migrants, which means they were not born in Italy, and must show signs of cognitive impairment. If someone is completely healthy in terms of their thinking abilities, they would not be included in the study. Although the trial is not yet recruiting, when it begins, participants can expect to engage in discussions and activities that help healthcare providers learn how to better support individuals from different cultural backgrounds who are dealing with dementia. This initiative is important for ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background, receives the best possible care.
