ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how well teeth can move back into place when there’s crowding, both with and without the use of braces or other fixed appliances. Researchers have noticed that during the COVID lockdown, some patients experienced a natural improvement in their tooth crowding without any treatment. The goal of this study is to see if this kind of improvement can be consistently observed and how it compares to traditional orthodontic methods.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be between 13 and 30 years old and have crowding of more than 4.1 millimeters in their upper or lower teeth, which will require the extraction of specific teeth. Participants must have all their adult teeth in place, be in good health, and have not had any previous orthodontic treatments. If you join the study, you can expect to be monitored closely to see how your teeth move over time, whether you receive treatment or not. This trial is currently seeking volunteers and aims to provide better options for treating tooth crowding in the future.
