ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in robot-assisted spinal surgery. The main goal is to find out if using AI can make the planning process for placing screws in the spine faster and more accurate compared to traditional manual planning. Researchers will compare these two methods to see which one works better.
To participate, individuals need to be between 65 and 74 years old and scheduled for robotic spinal surgery at one of the trial centers. They should have complete medical records and imaging data, which help doctors understand their condition. However, those who are under 18, have serious health issues, or certain other conditions will not be eligible. If chosen for the trial, participants will be randomly assigned to either the AI group or the manual planning group. This means they may not know which method they will receive. It’s important to note that this trial is not yet recruiting participants, so it’s still in the planning stages.
