ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how two scoring systems, TIRADS and Bethesda, can help doctors better manage thyroid nodules, which are lumps in the thyroid gland. These systems use ultrasound images to classify nodules into different categories based on their risk of being cancerous. By doing this, the trial aims to improve the accuracy of diagnoses and reduce the need for a procedure called fine-needle aspiration (FNA), which involves taking a small sample of the nodule for testing.
To participate in this trial, you need to have one or more thyroid nodules that are larger than 1 cm. Unfortunately, if your nodules are smaller than that, or if you have had thyroid surgery or radiotherapy in the past, you won't be eligible. If you join the trial, you will receive careful monitoring and guidance based on the results of the TIRADS and Bethesda evaluations. This study is currently recruiting participants of all ages and genders who meet the criteria, and it is a great opportunity to contribute to research that may improve patient care in the future.
