ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of a program called mindfulness-based psychoeducation on patients with major depressive disorder. The goal is to see if this type of therapy can help improve mindfulness (being present and aware), cognitive defusion (changing the way we think about our thoughts), and reduce feelings of depression. The study will involve 60 participants, split into two groups: one group will attend weekly group sessions for 8 weeks, while the other group will continue with their usual treatment without any additional interventions.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be between 18 and 65 years old, able to read and write, and willing to take part voluntarily. They should also be outpatients diagnosed with major depressive disorder and have not taken part in a similar mindfulness program in the past five years. However, those with other serious mental health issues or who are currently hospitalized will not be included. If you choose to participate, you can expect to join group sessions focused on mindfulness techniques aimed at improving your mental well-being.
