ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new treatment for onychomycosis, which is a fungal infection that affects the toenails. Researchers want to see if applying a special nail lacquer made from essential oils can help treat this condition. The trial is looking for adults aged 65 to 74 who have been diagnosed with onychomycosis, confirmed by a doctor and specific tests that show a fungal infection.
To participate, individuals must be willing to stop using any current anti-fungal medications, whether they are taken by mouth or applied to the skin. If eligible, participants will apply the essential oil lacquer daily to their affected toenails. This trial is currently not recruiting participants, but it aims to find a safer and effective treatment option for toenail fungal infections. If you or a loved one are interested in this study, it may be a good idea to speak with a healthcare provider for more information.
