ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called the Biobeat Digital Home Monitoring Feasibility study, is looking at how well a new digital monitoring system can help patients recover at home after lung cancer surgery. The main goal is to see if using this technology can reduce the number of unplanned visits to the Emergency Department and improve patients' quality of life compared to those receiving standard care without home monitoring.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between the ages of 65 and 74, undergoing elective lung cancer surgery, and comfortable using technology, like online banking. You'll also need to have Wi-Fi or cellular service at home. If you join the study, you can expect to use the Biobeat digital monitoring platform to track your recovery, helping you stay connected with your healthcare team. The study is currently recruiting participants, and everyone involved will be contributing to understanding how technology can support better recovery after surgery.
