ClinConnect Summary
The Vienna Hypothermic Oxygenated Machine Perfusion Study is looking at how well a specific method called hypothermic oxygenated machine perfusion works for patients receiving liver transplants. This approach helps to preserve the liver before it is transplanted. The study aims to gather data on the short- and long-term outcomes for patients who have undergone this type of transplant at the Medical University of Vienna.
To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old and scheduled for a liver transplant using this preservation method. Unfortunately, pregnant individuals, those receiving partial liver grafts, or patients whose liver cannot be properly preserved for perfusion are not eligible. If you join this study, you will be part of a group where your health outcomes will be closely monitored after your transplant. This research could help improve future liver transplants and the care of patients with liver disease.
