ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the role of the spleen in various diseases, particularly how it helps manage abnormal blood cells. The spleen is important for our immune system, which helps our body fight infections and diseases. Researchers want to learn more about how the spleen functions, especially in patients who are having surgery to remove the spleen (splenectomy) for different reasons. They will also explore if certain treatments can improve how the spleen recognizes and responds to blood cells.
To participate in the trial, you need to be an adult who is scheduled for a splenectomy. The study is open to anyone, regardless of their gender, and is currently looking for volunteers. If you join, you can expect to be part of investigations that could lead to a better understanding of how the spleen works and how it can be affected by certain diseases, which may help improve treatments in the future.
