ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how playing a therapeutic game can help reduce feelings of anxiety and fear in children with type 1 diabetes who are receiving insulin treatment for the first time. The researchers will divide children aged 9 to 12 into two groups. One group will play a fun game before their insulin treatment, while the other group will receive the usual care without any games. The goal is to see if the game helps children feel less anxious or scared about their treatment.
To participate in the study, children must be between 9 and 12 years old, have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, and be starting insulin treatment for the first time. They must also be able to understand and willingly participate in the study, with consent from their parents. However, children with certain conditions, like difficulties seeing or hearing, or those feeling too tired to play, won't be able to join. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to create a more comfortable experience for children facing diabetes management.
