ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how teaching elite gymnasts about good sleep habits—known as sleep hygiene—can improve their sleep quality and overall performance. Sleep is crucial for athletes, as poor sleep can lead to problems like mood swings, anxiety, and decreased strength and coordination, which can hurt their training and competition results. By participating in this study, gymnasts will learn simple strategies to create a better sleep environment and establish healthier sleep routines.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be elite male gymnasts aged between 14 and 18 who are in good health and have not received any prior sleep training. The study is currently recruiting participants, and those who join can expect to take part in sessions that teach them about the importance of sleep and how to improve their sleep habits. Overall, this trial aims to show that better sleep can lead to improved mood, motivation, and athletic performance.
