ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how different types of nerve blocks can help women who are having surgery for breast cancer. Specifically, the study is testing three techniques called the serratus anterior plane block, the pectoserratus plane block, and the erector spinae plane block. These techniques are designed to reduce pain after surgery, improve recovery, and potentially decrease the risk of ongoing pain in the future.

To participate in this trial, women need to be between 18 and 65 years old and scheduled for certain types of breast surgeries, like a mastectomy or lymph node removal. They should also be in good overall health, as indicated by their American Society of Anaesthesiology score. However, individuals with certain health conditions, such as severe liver or kidney disease, or a history of substance abuse, will not be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to receive one of these pain management techniques during your surgery, and researchers will follow up with you to see how well it works for managing pain afterward.
