ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of combining low-level laser therapy with cognitive-behavioral therapy to help reduce pain in people with temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD). TMD can cause discomfort in the jaw and surrounding muscles, and this study aims to see if these two treatments together can improve pain relief more effectively than either treatment alone.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 16 years old and have been diagnosed with TMD that has caused muscle pain in the jaw for less than three months. Unfortunately, if you have chronic TMD pain, certain medical conditions, or if you're pregnant, you may not be eligible to join. If you decide to participate, you can expect to receive both types of treatment and help researchers understand how well they work together. The study is currently recruiting participants, so this is a great opportunity to explore new ways to manage your pain.
