ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how well people with cochlear implants can understand speech and sounds in noisy environments. The researchers want to compare adults who have normal hearing with those who use cochlear implants to see how they perceive different sounds, especially when there is background noise. The goal is to improve the daily listening experience for cochlear implant users, which could lead to a better quality of life.

To participate, you must be at least 18 years old, a native French speaker, and willing to give consent for the study. If you have a cochlear implant, you should have been using it for at least 18 months and have good hearing in quiet situations. If you have normal hearing, you need to pass specific hearing tests. Participants will take part in some hearing tests to evaluate their ability to hear in various situations. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to help enhance the listening capabilities of cochlear implant users in the future.
