ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of thyme honey on pain relief and healing for people with minor oral ulcers, known as recurrent aphthous stomatitis. These painful sores can be quite common, affecting many people, especially women. The researchers want to see if thyme honey, which has natural properties that help reduce pain and inflammation, can help those suffering from these ulcers feel better and heal faster.
To participate in this study, individuals must have a history of oral ulcers for about 3-4 months, with each ulcer being small (less than 5 mm) and appearing recently (within the last 48 hours). Eligible participants should be generally healthy and only have one ulcer at a time. However, those with certain health issues, a history of severe ulcer types, or allergies to honey will not be included. If you join the study, you can expect to receive thyme honey treatment and be monitored for any changes in pain and healing over time. This research aims to provide valuable insights into natural treatments for common oral health problems.
