ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Long Term Effect of AIT in Children," is looking at how allergen immunotherapy (a treatment that helps reduce allergy symptoms) works over a long period for children with allergies. The study will include children who are receiving either subcutaneous immunotherapy (shots) or sublingual immunotherapy (tablets or drops under the tongue) for allergies to things like grass pollen, birch trees, house dust mites, or insect venom. The goal is to see how effective these treatments are in real-life situations.
To participate in this study, children must be between 1 and 17 years old and have been treated with allergen immunotherapy at HCA Children's Hospital in Odense University Hospital for at least 12 months. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and those who join will help researchers understand the long-term benefits of these allergy treatments. If you think your child might be eligible, this could be a great opportunity to contribute to important research that could help other children with allergies in the future.
