ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new group therapy approach called the Unified Protocol (UP) to help people with anxiety disorders, such as generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and social anxiety disorder. The goal is to address common issues that many of these disorders share, like difficulty handling distress, uncertainty, and excessive worry. By focusing on these shared problems, researchers hope to improve the effectiveness of treatment and possibly prevent the worsening of anxiety symptoms.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be between the ages of 65 and 74 or 23 and 740 and have been diagnosed with at least one of the specified anxiety disorders. However, people with active substance use, certain severe mental health conditions, or those currently receiving other therapy are not eligible. Participants can expect to join group sessions that will help them develop coping skills to manage their anxiety, and researchers will monitor how these sessions affect their anxiety symptoms and related challenges. This study is actively recruiting participants, and it aims to offer valuable insights into treating anxiety disorders more effectively.
