ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of a medication called lidocaine, which is given during a procedure known as hysteroscopy, to see if it can help reduce pain, nausea, and the need for stronger pain medications after the surgery. Hysteroscopy is commonly performed to address issues like abnormal bleeding or growths in the uterus. The goal is to find out if using lidocaine can make recovery easier for patients by minimizing these uncomfortable side effects.
To participate in this trial, women aged 18 and older who are scheduled for an elective hysteroscopy may be eligible, provided they are generally healthy and not experiencing severe health issues. Participants will receive lidocaine during their procedure and will be monitored for any changes in pain or nausea after the surgery. This study aims to enhance the care and comfort of women undergoing this common gynecological procedure, ultimately leading to a quicker and smoother recovery.
