ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how effective low-intensity laser therapy is in helping people regain their sense of smell and taste after having COVID-19. Some people experience a loss of smell (anosmia) or a change in taste (dysgeusia) for months after recovering from the virus, and this trial aims to see if laser treatment can help improve these symptoms. The study will involve 30 participants aged 18 and older who have experienced these issues for more than six months following their COVID-19 infection.
To be eligible for the trial, participants must have documented proof of a previous COVID-19 infection and must not have any other health conditions that could affect their sense of smell or taste. This includes individuals who have had head or neck cancer, epilepsy, or are currently pregnant. Participants in the trial will have the opportunity to receive laser treatment and contribute to the understanding of how to help those struggling with these lingering symptoms.
