ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how women with fibromyalgia feel about different amounts of resistance training, which is a type of exercise using weights or resistance bands. Fibromyalgia is a condition that causes widespread pain, fatigue, and other symptoms, and while exercise is known to help, researchers want to find out what amount of resistance training works best for these women. They hope to learn which training volume is preferred, as this could improve treatment options for fibromyalgia.
To participate in this study, women between the ages of 18 and 65 who have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia are eligible. However, those who have done resistance training in the past 6 months, have other serious conditions, or have certain injuries or heart problems cannot join. Participants can expect to engage in a structured exercise program where they will try different levels of resistance training. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and being part of this study may help improve understanding of how to better support women with fibromyalgia through exercise.
