ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how resistance training, which involves exercises using weights or resistance bands, can help patients with heart failure who are waiting for a heart transplant. The study aims to see if this type of training can improve their physical ability, quality of life, and certain heart health markers over a period of 12 weeks. Additionally, researchers will look at how different levels of frailty, which means how weak or fragile a person may be, affect the benefits they get from the training.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be on the heart transplant waiting list for no longer than one month and must be stable in their condition, meaning their heart function is steady. They should be aged between 65 and 74 years or 25 and 56 years, and they cannot have certain heart conditions or other health issues that would make it hard for them to complete the physical tests. If you or a loved one meet these criteria, participating in this study could offer a chance to improve health while waiting for a transplant.
