ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating the use of Insulin Like Growth Factor-1 (IGF-1) to see if it can help regenerate bone in specific types of gum disease called intrabony periodontal defects. These defects occur when there are deep pockets in the gums that can impact your teeth and overall oral health. The goal is to understand if IGF-1 can improve healing in these areas.
To participate in the study, you need to be a healthy adult over 18 years old with certain types of intrabony defects that have probing pocket depths greater than 5mm. However, individuals who are pregnant, heavy smokers, or have undergone treatments like chemotherapy or radiotherapy will not be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive treatment and regular check-ups to assess how well your bone is healing. This study is currently looking for participants, and everyone is welcome to apply regardless of gender.
