ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on improving the way emergency medical services (EMS) identify stroke patients before they reach the hospital. The goal is to ensure that patients receive the right care as quickly as possible, which can make a big difference in their recovery. To do this, the study will test new methods, such as using video calls for real-time assessments between lay rescue personnel and healthcare professionals and training lay rescuers on specific stroke assessment tools.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be suspected of having a stroke, rescued by a basic life support vehicle, and able to give informed consent. They should also be between the ages of 65 and 74. Participants can expect to be part of a process that helps improve stroke diagnosis and treatment, which could ultimately benefit many others experiencing a stroke in the future.
