ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a health coaching program delivered through telemedicine for patients with end-stage lung disease who are waiting for a lung transplant. The goal is to see if this program can help improve patients' physical health, emotional wellbeing, and overall quality of life while they wait for surgery. By encouraging healthy habits like better nutrition, increased physical activity, and quitting smoking, researchers hope that patients will be better prepared for their transplant, experience fewer complications, and have better outcomes after the surgery.

To be eligible for this study, participants should be between the ages of 65 and 74, have been assessed as suitable for lung transplantation due to their end-stage lung disease, and be willing to watch online instructional videos. Those who are unable to provide consent, are uncooperative, or cannot connect to video conferencing will not be included. If you decide to participate, you can expect to receive support and guidance from health coaches who will help you manage your condition and prepare for the transplant process. This trial could be an important step in finding new ways to support patients during this critical time.
