ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how body image and self-esteem affect the quality of life for teenagers with a condition called idiopathic scoliosis, which is a curvature of the spine that often develops during adolescence. The researchers want to understand how these factors differ between boys and girls and how wearing a scoliosis brace for a certain amount of time might influence these aspects.
To participate in the study, you need to be between 10 and 18 years old, have been diagnosed with idiopathic scoliosis, and have been using a scoliosis brace for at least three months. It's important that you and your parent or guardian are willing to join the study. However, if you’ve had spine surgery, have any mental health issues, or have a different type of scoliosis, you won't be able to take part. Participants will help researchers gather important information that could improve understanding of how scoliosis affects young people's lives.
