ClinConnect Summary
The VENDY trial is studying a new way to help people access naloxone, a life-saving medication that can quickly reverse an opioid overdose. This study is using vending machines to make naloxone more available in the community. The goal is to see how well these machines can reach people who need this important medication, especially those who might be at risk of an overdose.
Anyone in the community who wants to get naloxone can use these vending machines, as long as they are able to enter a code and open the kiosk. The trial is currently looking for participants, and there are no age or gender restrictions. If you decide to join, you can expect to learn more about how to access naloxone easily and help spread awareness about its importance in preventing overdose deaths. This trial is an exciting opportunity for community members to engage in harm reduction efforts and improve safety for everyone.
