ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a low-carbohydrate diet affects young women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). The goal is to see if changes in their diet can improve their health and symptoms related to PCOS as they reach the third trimester, which is a later stage of their condition. The trial is currently looking for participants who are female, between the ages of 12 and 24, and have started their periods at least a year ago. To join, participants should not be using hormonal birth control and must give consent to be part of the study.
If you or someone you know meets these criteria, you can expect to follow a low-carbohydrate diet and be monitored for changes in health and symptoms. It's important to note that this study will not accept individuals who are older than 24 or who have certain health conditions, such as hormonal disorders or serious diseases affecting the liver, pancreas, or muscles. This trial is a great opportunity to learn more about how diet can impact health for those dealing with PCOS.
