ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how gum disease, known as periodontitis, affects people who grind their teeth, a condition called bruxism. The study will investigate whether a specific dental treatment called subgingival instrumentation, which involves cleaning below the gum line, can help reduce jaw pain and discomfort in patients who have both periodontitis and bruxism.
To participate, individuals need to be healthy, aged between 30 and 40, and have at least 20 teeth. However, those with certain health issues, such as diabetes or specific psychological disorders, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, will not be eligible. Participants can expect to receive care for their gum disease and be monitored for any changes in their jaw symptoms during the study. This research aims to understand the relationship between these conditions better and potentially improve treatment options for affected patients.
