ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how effective botulinum toxin injections are at improving facial symmetry in patients who have experienced facial paralysis. The researchers want to find out if these injections can help balance the appearance of the face and how well 3D photography can measure these changes. They will take 3D photos of participants before the injections and again about a month later to see the differences. The trial aims to include at least 15 patients who have received these injections at the Head and Neck Institute in Nice, France.
To be eligible for the study, participants must be adults who have had botulinum toxin injections in their facial muscles for symmetry improvement. However, individuals with a history of significant facial surgery, certain neurological diseases, or skin conditions that could affect analysis won’t be included. If you participate, you can expect to undergo photography sessions and receive the injections, with the hope of seeing improvements in your facial symmetry. This study could help doctors better understand how to use these injections for patients with similar conditions in the future.
