ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating the effects of Sujok therapy on comfort, pain levels, and anxiety in cancer patients who are undergoing a procedure called port catheter placement. A port catheter is a small device placed under the skin that allows doctors to give chemotherapy and take blood samples more easily. While this treatment is helpful, the process can sometimes cause pain and anxiety for patients. Sujok therapy is a non-medical approach that uses specific points on the hands and feet to help relieve these feelings by promoting energy flow in the body.
To participate in this study, patients must be 18 years or older, have a cancer diagnosis, and be scheduled for chemotherapy that requires port catheter placement. Participants will be divided into three groups: one receiving Sujok therapy, one receiving a placebo (an inactive treatment), and a control group with no treatment. The trial aims to see if Sujok therapy can effectively reduce pain and anxiety related to the port catheter procedure. Those interested in improving their comfort during this process may find this trial beneficial.
