ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating whether a specific type of anesthesia, called interscalene block anesthesia, affects hearing in patients who are having shoulder surgery. The goal is to find out if this anesthesia method, commonly used for pain relief during recovery from shoulder operations, has any impact on a person’s hearing ability.
To participate in this study, individuals need to be undergoing shoulder surgery and should be generally healthy, without serious conditions like uncontrolled diabetes or high blood pressure. It's important that they have normal hearing in the ear that is not being operated on. Participants will be monitored for their hearing before and after the surgery to see if there are any changes. This trial is currently looking for volunteers of all genders aged between 18 and 75. If you're considering joining, you'll be contributing to important research that could help improve patient care in the future!
