Blood Flow Restriction Latarjet Surgery Rehabilitation

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effects of a special exercise technique called Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training on recovery after shoulder surgery, specifically the Latarjet procedure, which is done to stabilize the shoulder after dislocations. The researchers want to find out if BFR training can help improve muscle strength and shoulder function in young athletes aged 18 to 35 who have had this surgery.

If you're between 18 and 35 years old and have had shoulder stabilization surgery due to dislocations, you may be eligible to participate. As a participant, you would take part in four strengthening exercises twice a week over eight weeks, and you would also complete some strength tests and mobility assessments. The study is not yet recruiting participants, but it’s important to know that certain health conditions might exclude you from joining, such as pregnancy, certain heart diseases, or blood clotting disorders. This trial aims to help improve rehabilitation methods for athletes recovering from shoulder surgery.
