ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how to better manage the risks of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in patients undergoing dental procedures that require general anesthesia. OSA is a condition where a person has trouble breathing while sleeping, and it is becoming more common, especially among older adults and those who are overweight. The goal of the study is to identify patients who may be at risk for OSA and assess how this risk could affect their recovery and any complications after dental surgery. To do this, researchers will use simple questionnaires to evaluate patients and ensure those at higher risk receive the right care before and after their procedures.

You may be eligible to participate in this trial if you're between 18 and 80 years old and are scheduled for dental work under general anesthesia, but you haven't been diagnosed with OSA before. If you join the study, you can expect to answer some questions about your health to see if you're at risk for OSA. This information will help doctors provide safer anesthesia care tailored to your needs. It's important to note that individuals who have already been diagnosed with OSA or need emergency surgery cannot participate in this trial.
