ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a special training program for parents and caregivers of young children in Zimbabwe to help prevent child maltreatment and improve how families engage with reading. The program, called the Tabudirira Parent Training Intervention, is based on existing parenting resources and will be delivered in two sessions. Researchers want to find out if this training can make a difference in reducing harmful behaviors towards children and encourage parents to spend more time reading with their kids.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and a caregiver for a child who is enrolled in an Early Childhood Development Grade A class at a school in the Harare Northern Central School district. You must also live with the child for most of the week. If you join the trial, you can expect to attend two training sessions focused on parenting skills. It's important to note that the study is not yet recruiting participants, so more information will be available soon for those interested in taking part.
