ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on improving care for older women with osteoporosis, a condition that makes bones weak and easy to break. The research team has heard from many women over 70 that they often feel ignored or uninformed about their bone health, even though osteoporosis is a significant health issue for them. The study will involve talking to both older women and healthcare professionals to understand their experiences with osteoporosis diagnosis and treatment. By gathering their insights, the researchers aim to develop better guidelines and recommendations to enhance osteoporosis care in primary healthcare settings.

To participate in the trial, older women must be at least 70 years old and have a diagnosis of osteoporosis, either reported by themselves or confirmed in their medical records. Healthcare professionals currently working in the NHS are also eligible to join the discussions. Participants can expect to share their thoughts in interviews, which will help shape the research and lead to practical recommendations for improving care. The findings will not only be shared with healthcare providers but also summarized for older women to better understand their health options.
