ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how different types of education about pessary treatment can help women with pelvic organ prolapse (POP), which is when pelvic organs slip down and cause symptoms. Women aged 65 to 74 who have POP stages II, III, or IV may be eligible to participate. The study will compare two groups: one group will receive standard verbal and written instructions from a healthcare provider, while the other group will also watch an educational video that explains how to use and care for a pessary, along with tips for managing potential side effects.

Participants will be monitored for one year, receiving regular fittings for their pessaries and answering questionnaires about their experiences, such as how satisfied they are with the treatment and how well they manage the pessary on their own. It's important to know that women with certain medical conditions, like infections or tumors, or those unable to watch the video, will not be eligible for this study. The goal is to see if the extra video education helps women feel more comfortable and satisfied with their pessary treatment.
