ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is designed to study how complex surgery to repair thoraco-abdominal aortic aneurysms (which are bulges in the aorta that can be life-threatening) affects blood clotting and platelet function right after the surgery. Researchers want to understand any changes that happen in the blood's ability to clot in the days immediately following the repair, which can help improve patient care after such surgeries.
To participate in this trial, you would need to be a patient scheduled for this type of surgery at the University Hospital of Larissa, and you'll need to give your consent to join. However, if you've had surgery in the past three months, have certain health issues, or have a history of blood clotting disorders, you may not be eligible. If you join, you'll be monitored closely after your surgery to see how your blood responds and to help ensure the best outcomes. This study is important because understanding these changes can lead to better treatments and recovery for patients undergoing this complex procedure.
