ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a tool called the Analgesia Nociception Index (ANI) to see if it can help reduce the amount of opioid pain medication needed for patients undergoing robotic surgery while under general anesthesia with a drug called remimazolam. The goal is to find a way to manage pain more effectively and safely during surgery.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be between 20 and 79 years old, scheduled for robotic surgery, and in good health (classified as American Society of Anesthesiologists class 1, 2, or 3). They also need to agree in writing to take part in the study. Participants will be monitored during their surgery to see how well the ANI works in managing their pain. Please note that certain medical conditions or medications may prevent someone from joining the trial. This research is important as it could lead to better pain management options for patients undergoing surgery.
