ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how the thickness of fat around the kidneys, measured using MRI (a type of imaging scan), is related to chronic kidney disease (CKD) in patients who also have fatty liver disease (FLD). The researchers want to understand if there’s a connection between these conditions, which could help improve future treatments and care for patients with both CKD and FLD.
To participate in this trial, you would need to be over 18 years old, and there are some specific health conditions that would exclude you. For example, if you have other causes of liver disease or are in the end stages of kidney disease, you wouldn’t be eligible. Participants can expect to undergo MRI scans to assess fat thickness and might contribute to important research that could enhance understanding of these health issues. This trial is currently not recruiting participants, so it’s still in the planning stages.
